Ironcrafts Stroud offer a total service package including design, manufacture and installation of many wrought iron and steel products.

All enquiries are dealt with on a personal one to one basis and in most cases a site survey will be carried out to measure and discuss requirements. Quotations are confirmed in writing ‘free of charge’ with a ‘no obligation policy’ backed up with a detailed ‘CAD’ (computer aided design) drawing for approval prior to manufacture.

Our standard finish is Shotblast and Powder Coated with a Zinc Rich Primer and a Topcoat, we also offer the option of Hot Dip Galvanising which will provide exceptional corrosion resistance, this is essential on decorative designs where there are likely to be water traps.

Most of our products are made to order and with our vast experience, we can manufacture more or less anything in steel or stainless steel either to your specific design or to a proven design.

Our product range includes Iron Gates, Gate Automation, Iron Railings, Estate Railings, Balustrades, Balconies, Stainless Steel and Glass Balustrades and Balconies, Security Gates and Window Grilles, Handrails, Steel Staircases, Staircase Handrails and Banisters, Curtain Poles, Plant Obelisks, Pedestrian Guardrails, Vehicle Security Posts and Bollards, Cattle Grids.

Iron Railings

Manufactured in-house with many designs available and to customer’s requirements, these can be for level, sloping or stepped ground or wall-mounted between stone piers etc. They can also be manufactured to suit steps incorporating a handrail all at very competitive prices for both the domestic and commercial sectors.

Where traditional designs are needed we can manufacture incorporating cast-iron panels or pickets and set the pickets into stone plinths using the traditional leading methods. We manufacture Estate type railings which are common around farms or paddocks etc. These can be made up on-site as a continuous construction or supplied in sections for bolting together.

Gates & Gate Automation

In-house design, manufacture and installation of Hinged and Sliding Gates using quality steel (wrought iron), we have many designs available to consider however all our gates are manufactured to order therefore size and design are totally flexible. Single leaf gates for pedestrian access or double leaf gates for vehicular access. Sliding Gates on rails or cantilever systems. Gate Automation for all hinged or sliding gates including existing iron or timber gates.

Balustrades & Balconies

Balustrades can be for raised areas such as patios or raised walkways and can be either straight balusters or bow type balusters which are commonly seen on balconies. We have several designs available or we can make bespoke to the customer’s own design. Balustrades and Balconies can also be made in stainless steel and glass to provide almost uninterrupted views. Other applications such as raised doorways or deep opening windows can be guarded with either Juliet Balconies or Balconies for standing or sitting on. If external access is required, we can also manufacture spiral staircases or straight staircases.

Stainless Steel & Glass Balustrades, Balconies & Banisters

Glass has become a very popular and cost-effective option for balustrades and balconies providing a clear view as well as letting maximum light through, it also gives a very modern and clean look. Bespoke to customer’s requirements, applications include upper-level door openings or deep opening windows, balconies, internal stairways and landings, walkways and raised patios. The design can be with support posts only, support posts and top rail, support posts with the bottom rail, or support posts with both top and bottom rails. We can also supply with timber top rails if preferred. It can also be installed with no posts or top rail whereby the glass panels are set into a bottom rail mounting or with a clamp arrangement. If you have an existing staircase that is either enclosed or of timber construction in most cases this can be modified to provide a much more open and airier stairwell.

The posts and rails can also be supplied in mild steel powder coated in a colour of your choice.

Handrails

Handrails can be provided for steps, staircases or sloping paths, we can also provide handrails for difficult applications such as unevenly curved staircases often found in older properties. They can be supplied in many different materials such as convex rail, rope twist, hammer edge bar, round bar etc. and tubular stainless steel. Brackets can be with a faceplate for bolting to the wall or without a faceplate for setting into the wall.

Staircases

We can design and manufacture staircases to suit all applications whether it be internal or external, for general access or as a fire escape. Stair treads can be non-slip grating, durbar plate or timber as required, the guardrails can be steel or glass. In most cases, we can also replace your existing balustrade or incorporate glass or steel panels as a replacement for existing timber balusters.

Guardrails & Parapets

We supply all the standard Pedestrian Guardrails as used on the Highways, we also manufacture these to suit sloping ground and curves many of which have been supplied to Gloucestershire County Council Highways Division. We also manufacture traditional guardrails using Cast Iron Bollards with Guardrails. Other systems of Guardrails are for applications such as Bridge Parapets which may be a post and rail system or rails with mesh panels.

Cattle Grids

We are approved suppliers and repairers of cattle grids for Gloucestershire County Council Highways Division and many other Highways and Construction companies such as Ringway Infrastructure Services and Laser Construction. We design and manufacture to suit the application and loading etc. whether it be for a private driveway entrance or for the main highway.

Miscellaneous Items

We manufacture and install iron curtain poles with many different finials to suit straight windows or bay windows and because we manufacture to suit we can accommodate any shape window apertures.

We also manufacture plant supports / climbing frames and obelisks to suit individual requirements as well as some standard frames which are ideal for plants like Honeysuckle, Jasmine, Sweet Peas or Runner Beans enabling a good show in a small area, these can be left out all year round providing some decoration and structure to the garden when the plants have died down.

We manufacture Rose Arches, Gazebos and Pergolas to the clients’ specific requirements, other items include Fire Baskets, Log Holders etc.
